Willie Nelson
This one was a fun drawing of Willie with his father's burned guitar. This drawing was auctioned off and has a new home in a gallery in Korea.
-
Beatles black and white
This was done as an elaborate "doodle" that I enjoyed doing. I brought it to the ISCA convention to be auctioned off, and it had quite a reaction. I should do more of these.

Sarah Palin
This was a piece done for a contest to draw Sarah Palin. I drew her as the Mad Hatter from Alice In Wonderland in the middle of her "Tea Party". It took second place.

Yuta Honma
Every Year when there is a new ISCA Golden Nosey winner, it is tradition for the previous winner to paint him for the cover of our Exaggerated Features magazine. I painted 2010's winner, Yuta Honma as King Kong because he was just a monster this year and blew everyone away. The fact that he speaks about 5 words of English shows how dedicated he was in a competition that was mostly American artists. Congrats Yuta!

Katie Perry
This was a fun piece I did for Airbrush Action magazine. It's Katie Perry from her "California Girls" video.

Lady GaGa
There's so much to work with from a caricaturist's point of view in regards to Lady GaGa, so I decided to do a full sculpture of her. There were many versions of this before it arrived here, but this was a little bit of a complicated project. The base she is standing on has strobe lights in it, and when plugged in, the whole scolpture becomes a fun, interesting light show. Also, there are tubes running through the length of her body to the ends of the guns that smoke through inscence in the base. It took a little bit of engineering to get it all working, but being my first sculpture, I was pretty happy with it. To the right are some in progress pictures.
It took second place in the studio competition at the 2010 ISCA convention.

30 Seconds To Mars
So we got the chance to meet the band 30 Seconds to Mars. We were priveliged enough to contact the right people to arrange a meeting with them and present them a painting. This painting was a kind of compilation of images from their current tour. They loved the painting, and I got them to sign a print of the painting for me to hang.

Tiger
Tiger Wood's seemed to crumble right before our eyes in 2010. There is an old saying that a woman is a man's ruin. In Tiger's case, it was many women. Maybe all the king's horsemen and all the king's men can put Humpty Dumbty back together again....

Sean and Shiena
These are my good friends Sean and Shiena, both fantastic artists, they are wonderful people, and lots of fun to paint!
-
Terminator
Yes, another Arnold Schwarzeneggar. This time as the Governator.....this piece was specifically challenging, because it's actually two paintings in one, the Terminator robot, and Arnold. It took a lot of planning and a lot of trial and error. The robot is completely airbrushed, while the Arnold is mostly painted digitally.
-
Steve Buscemi
This is my first fully digital painting. From start to finish on this piece, I never picked up a pencil, paper, airbrush or anything. I tried this as an experiment, and it just went very well. I will definitely be doing more of these.

MJ
Michael Jackson, like Elvis, will continue to live on forever in all of us that remember him. The strange, sometimes creepy side of him will dissipate over time, but his artistic influences never will.
I know this is closer to a portrait than I usually do, but sometimes people are more of a caricature than real.

Steve McQueen
Pilot of the greatest car chase scene ever.

Michael Eisner
Sometimes monsters don't have fangs, horns, or green skin.

The Beatles
This has been by far my most complex project. It's also the largest. It's 6 feet wide and 4 1/2 feet tall. It took a couple months and is all airbrushed. There are 17 song references in the piece all from the 1967-69 era. Can you find them all? In the course of doing this piece, I realized I like to work large, but it's painful after a while putting your body through all kinds of positions. It took somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 hours, although I probably could have spent 100 more. Below it are some in progress pictures.

Audrey Hepburn
One of the most magnificent actresses to ever grace the silver screen.
pencil, 12"x16"

Scarface
The Original bad guy. Al Pacino delivered the role of a lifetime in this movie and captivates audiences even today. Although a drug-lord murderer isn't my idea of a good role model, at least he's fictional.
-
Jimi Hendrix
Undeniaby the most talented guitarist in history. Not much more can be said.
20" by 30" airbrush.
-
Marilyn Manson tongue
This one was done for a contest on the NCN forum. It won first place. If it seems gross, vulgar, and a little disgusting, good. Just like the musician himself, it's supposed to.
-
Elvis
Consider this the "before" Elvis.
-
Anna Nicole Smith
airbrush, acrylic, and colored pencil.

-
Edward Scissorhands
They never addressed this issue in the movie.....I thought a perfect opportunity for a comedic drawing.
This piece won 1st place in the Studio Piece competition at the 2007 NCN convention.
